The brief was to improve the basement by extending into the garden and creating a bright room for the client could read.
The extension sits into the raised garden, bringing play between the internal and external levels. The thick zinc clad wall creates an 'protective' inclosure relating to the tall boundary walls while the glazed insert allows light to flood into the space.
The project was on site January 2018.
